“Guess the Location”: IAF’s Surya Kiran Team Challenges Twitter

The Indian Air Force’s (IAF) aerobatic demonstration team, Suryakiran has shared a series of four photographs of its aircraft taking off at an incredibly heavy space on its official Twitter handle, and asked users on Twitter to identify it. Is. Aerial shots showed a mighty river flowing under an incredibly long bridge and dividing the landscape in two. Seven colored sunrayed planes could be seen flying along the river bank and across the bridge. Interestingly, there was no traffic on the bridge at the time these pictures were taken. Suryakiran Aerobatic Team asked users on Twitter, “Guess the location.”

At the time of writing, the post was liked by over 8,000 people, with many even responding to the challenge and guessing the location.

Most users appeared to be convinced that the photos were taken on the Bogibeel Bridge, India’s longest rail-come-road bridge over the Brahmaputra River in Assam.

One user also gave a full description of the bridge and its utility in this area.

Some users also shared pictures that showed the huge bridge in its entirety.

Another user commented, “You guys are everywhere.”

While one user welcomed the Surya Kiran team in Assam, another wondered why there was no traffic on the bridge.

Bogibeel bridge was Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2018. The iconic bridge connects the southern bank of the Brahmaputra river at Dibrugarh in Assam with Silapathar in Dhemaji district bordering Arunachal Pradesh. With the completion of the bridge, the rail distance between Dhemaji and Dibrugarh was reduced from 500 km to 100 km. The construction of the bridge started in 2002 under the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Last year, Suryakiran Aerobatics team participated in Flypast over Dubai skyline, with the UAE’s Al Fursan Performance Team. Nine Hawk 132s of the Surya Kiran team flew over key sites such as Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab in Dubai.

Earlier in October 2021, the Surya Kiran Aerobatics team took part in the low-level flypast over mumbai to tag golden victory rain Or 50 years after the 1971 war. He flew north to south Mumbai on the Andheri, Bandra-Worli Sea Link and the Gateway of India.
