Scenes from Indian mythology have been engraved on the pen.
We all must have used a ballpoint pen at some point in our lives. These pens have been supporting us since our school days. But here is a ballpoint pen that you may not use on a daily basis. But it still gets all your attention. wondering why?
Guinness World Records The world’s largest ballpoint pen has been announced. And, it’s bigger than you can imagine. The pen is 5.5 m (18 ft, 0.53 in) long and weighs 37.23 kg. It is definitely not for a layman’s use. The author of the pen is Acharya Makunuri Srinivas.
Guinness World Records has shared a video of this pen on its Instagram page.
The caption read, “This ball-point behemoth engraved with scenes from Indian mythology was crafted by Acharya Makunuri Srinivas from India. The 9-kilogram (19-lb 13.5-oz) brass pen measured 5.5 m (18 ft 0.53 in) long – beating the previous record by 1.45 m (4 ft 9 in) – when it was rated at 24 in Hyderabad, India had gone. April 2011.”
The pen “spreads ink on its tip during use by the rolling action of a small metal sphere”.

The measurement of the pen was evaluated in Hyderabad on 24 April 2011. An extended video about the unveiling ceremony of the pen was shared by Guinness World Records on YouTube.
In the video we see that at least four to five people are needed to use the pen. Men used pens to write on a piece of paper. He also drew a face on a piece of paper.
At one time people even feared that the giant pen might split in two.

Shri Acharya said that whenever his mother gave him a pen to write, he imagined that she would create a unique pen. He told that the pen is made of brass and nine types of dance postures and Indian musical instruments are engraved on it.
