Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday inducted 24 ministers into his cabinet. Former assembly speaker Rajendra Trivedi and former BJP state president Jitu Vaghani also took oath today. In Patel’s cabinet, none of the ministers from the earlier ministry got a place.
Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath to 10 cabinet ministers and 14 ministers of state, including five ministers of state with independent charge.
Bhupendra Patel, who took oath as the 17th Chief Minister of the state on Monday, was present along with former CM Rupani at the Raj Bhavan ceremony.
Rupani’s sudden resignation on Saturday led to the formation of a new ministry.
