Rajkot: Junagadh Police The gang duping people with fake gold has been busted.
Police have arrested Panna Shemal, a resident of Ahmedabad, Viram Sabal, a resident of Keshod. Junagadh District and a minor.
According to the complaint filed by Narsingh Bhadrka at Junagadh’s A Division police station, Sonal Bawaji, whose mother was working in his hotel, asked him to meet her for a good deal.
When Bhadrka went to meet Sonal at her house, her son Vikas and an unknown man were present there. Sonal introduced the unknown person as Hussainbhai. He told the victim Bhadrka that the relatives of Hussain had found gold during the excavation of an old building in Dhoraji. He also showed samples of that gold and asked Bhadrka to get it checked by the jeweler, which Bhadrka did and found it genuine.
After this Bhadrka arranged to buy gold at a cheap rate of Rs 2.50 lakh and brought the gold from Dhoraji in Rajkot district. However, after investigation, the gold jeweler told Bhadraka that it was brass and approached the police with a complaint of fraud.
The police came to know during the investigation that these three people were involved in that fraud,
All three were arrested with Rs 1.80 lakh in cash.
