Palanpur: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will inaugurate Banas DairyNew campus and potato processing plant at Deodar banaskantha district during his three-day visit Gujarat,
Modi will inaugurate newly built dairy plant in Sandar village Deyodar Taluka Banas Dairy Chairman Shankar Chaudhary said on Sunday that the newly constructed complex, spread over 151 acres, has been built at a cost of about Rs 600 crore.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate the Banas Community Radio Station to the nation. The community radio station has been established to provide key scientific information related to agriculture and animal husbandry to the farmers. The radio station is expected to connect with more than 5 lakh farmers from around 1,700 villages.
Also, the renovated Paneer and Whey Powder Plant at Palanpur, Banas Gobar Gas Plant and Bio-CNG Station at Dama (Deesa) will also be e-inaugurated, while the PM will lay the foundation of four new Gobar Gas Plants in Khimna digitally. Ratanpura (Bhildi), Radhanpur and Thavar (Dhanera).
The new dairy plant will have a processing capacity of 30 lakh liters per day (LLPD) of milk, 80 tonnes of butter, 1 LLPD of ice cream, 20 tonnes of condensed milk (Khoya) and six tonnes of chocolate a day.
The potato plant with a capacity to process 48 lakh tonnes of potatoes per day will produce a variety of processed potato products such as french fries, potato chips, aloo tikkis, patties, many of which are exported to other countries.
