Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad: Just before the state assembly elections, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel launched on Wednesday ‘Atmanirbhar’ Gujarat plans To support industries, to introduce a series of incentives for micro, small and medium enterprises, large and large industries of the state. The government aims to attract an investment of Rs 12.5 lakh crore to generate employment for about 15 lakh youth.
As part of the plan, MSME And large companies will be able to avail 75% net SGST reimbursement on fixed capital investment over 10 years, Employees’ Provident Fund reimbursement for 10 years and electricity duty exemption for five years.
Benefits under the scheme will be extended to 10 sectors including green energy ecosystem, mobility, capital equipment, metals and minerals, textiles and apparel, sustainability, agro-processing, chemicals, gems and jewelery and health care.
The objective of the scheme is to attract industries and investors and thereby create large scale employment opportunities. “Gujarat is the land of entrepreneurs. The state is the manufacturing hub of India. This scheme will be helpful in providing the necessary specialized support to enable the industries to be a part of the global supply chain,” CM Patel said.
According to Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, this scheme will encourage industries to green manufacturing practices and adopt decarbonization initiatives. Under this scheme, micro industries will attract capital subsidy up to Rs 35 lakh, MSMEs will get interest subsidy of up to Rs 35 lakh per annum for 7 years and incremental incentives will be given to women entrepreneurs, young entrepreneurs, startups and differently-abled Will go entrepreneur
At the same time, largescale and mega industries will get interest subsidy up to 12% of the fixed capital investment. Additionally, mega investments with an investment of at least Rs 2,500 crore and employment commitment of 2,500 persons will also get net SGST reimbursement of up to 18% of fixed capital investment over 20 years and 100% of input SGST paid on capital goods. Reimbursement will be made in 20 years. Minister of State for Industries Jagdish Vishwakarma said, “The 33 lakh MSMEs of Gujarat have been instrumental in the inclusive growth of Gujarat. and creation of sustainable employment opportunities especially in semi-urban and rural India. Schemes of assistance to industries will change the manufacturing scenario of Gujarat in the coming years.
