new Delhi The franchise cricket team Gujarat Titans has announced that it has created a virtual space in the metaverse, The Titans Dugout. The Indian Premier League sports franchise said, it will be a venue for engagement with the fan community in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. With this the team said that it will become India’s leading sports team to offer a dedicated virtual space for its fans and global community of players.
The team will debut in the 15th season of the IPL and its entry into the virtual universe will be marked with the unveiling of the team’s logo at ‘The Titans Dugout’. The event will see its head coach Ashish Nehra, captain Hardik Pandya and promising young talent Shubman Gill interact with each other and reveal the logo in The Metaverse.
Arvinder Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Sports Franchise said, “Cricket is a game of endless possibilities and taking forward the spirit of the game, we are thrilled to announce our foray into the metaverse as we all set to showcase our team logo. Huh. We are confident that Gujarat Titans logo launch and Titans Dugout in Metaverse will provide an engaging and engaging experience for our fans. We strongly believe that this will not only give our fans an exciting experience, but will also be a unique way for our fans to interact and connect with the team.”
Gujarat Titans built their strong team combination in the recent mega auction with marquee players like Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy and Lockie Ferguson. The team also includes Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Wriddhiman Saha, who will be included in the draft picks of the team – Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill. As one of the youngest franchises, Gujarat Titans aim to make their debut in the IPL a strong and resilient one.
The franchise is owned by CVC Capital Partners. Its unit, the Irelia Company, had bid The Ahmedabad franchise will get Rs 5625 crore for 10 years.
