Gurmeet Choudhary has revealed that a robbery took place at his residence in Mumbai, involving a newly hired domestic staff member. The actor shared the details in a post on social media, urging fans to remain cautious and thoroughly verify anyone employed for household work.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gurmeet wrote, “Alert. Today, a new worker stole some items from our home and ran away. Thankfully, we always verify anyone who comes to work, so we could act quickly. I’m especially grateful I was home, and my babies were safe in their room.”

He added that most of the stolen items were recovered swiftly due to prompt action and a few timely phone calls. “Most importantly, everyone is safe. Just a bit of bad luck, but a strong reminder: Stay alert. Always verify anyone who enters your home for work,” he said in his post.

Gurmeet did not disclose specific details about the stolen items or whether a formal police complaint was filed.

Gurmeet Choudhary married actress Debina Bonnerjee on February 15, 2011. The couple renewed their vows and tied the knot again on October 4, 2021 in a traditional ceremony. They welcomed their first daughter on April 3, 2022, followed by the birth of their second daughter on November 11, 2022.

On the work front, Gurmeet Choudhary was last seen in Season 2 of the Netflix series Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen, which premiered last year. He was also expected to star in Maharana, a web series based on the life of Maharana Pratap. However, there have been no recent updates regarding the project.

Gurmeet first rose to fame with his portrayal of Lord Rama in the 2009 television series Ramayan, where he starred opposite Debina Bonnerjee as Sita. The couple also appeared together on the reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh during their engagement.

Following Ramayan, Gurmeet gained further popularity as Maan Singh Khurana, a powerful businessman in the hit series Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, where he starred alongside Drashti Dhami. He later played the lead role of Yash Sindhia in Punar Vivah, opposite Kratika Sengar.
