Varanasi: Advocates of Anjuman Intezamiya Mosque (AIM)- mosque management committee – Completed his arguments before the District Judge against the hearing of the case filed by the five on Tuesday female plaintiff right to worship Shringar Gauri and other gods Gyanvapi Mosque Complex,
Mahendra Prasad Pandey, advocate (civil) for the district government, said, “With the completion of the arguments of AIM, counter arguments by the advocates of the Hindu woman litigant have also been started.”
AIM counsel Abhay Nath Yadav said, “We have concluded our arguments on each of the 51 points (paragraphs) of the petition no. 693/2021 On 4th July challenging its consistency under Order VII Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure today, we have sought to establish the legal facts and judgments and references of past cases and judgments of the High Court and Supreme Court. For how this case is not maintainable.”
Yadav said, “Among other points, it was also brought to the notice of District Judge Dr Ajay Krishna Vishvesh that the plaintiffs are unable to mention the names of the deities they are claiming to be present in the Gyanvapi complex. “The Ram Janmabhoomi case was also cited in this regard,” Yadav said.
Advocates of AIM took three days to complete the arguments on 51 points (paragraph) of the petition and on Monday they took 1.51 hours to complete their legal arguments.
The DGC said that the hearing in the court began at 2 pm and lasted till 4.17 pm, after which the district judge asked Vishnu Jain, counsel for plaintiffs no. 2 to 5 (Lakshmi Devi, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas and Rekha Pathak). The DGC said that at 4:17 pm, the district judge ordered that the arguments of the plaintiffs’ lawyers would continue on Wednesday as well.
