Navroz Mubarak 2025: Nowruz indicates the beginning of Persian or Iranian New Year and is observed in many countries worldwide because spring falls in the Northern Hemisphere. In India, the Parsi community honors Novuz as a sacred and festive opportunity. This year, it will be seen on 20 March.
What is the importance of Nowruz?
Nowruz, also known as Navroz, is observed during the Vernal Equinox or when the days begin to grow longer. The incident usually occurs around 20 March. Novuz has two words where “now” means new and “rose” means day. Therefore, Nowruz means new day.
Where is this celebrated and how?
The festival is mainly celebrated in the Black Sea Basin in Central Asian countries, Middle East, Balkan, Caucasus, Balkan and other areas. Countries like Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkmenistan declare Novuz as a public holiday.
