The LiveWire Arrow platform will have a modular architecture to support multiple models
Harley Davidson is developing a new EV platform called Arrow, which will join the LiveWire One, and will be used across a variety of bikes with different performance, range and styling. The development comes soon after Harley-Davidson announced a partnership with Taiwanese manufacturer KYMCO under LiveWire, the electric motorcycle division of Harley-Davidson. In a separate presentation to investors, LiveWire showcased future EV models, and three upcoming EV models that will be based on the new Arrow platform. The S2, S3 and S4 models, as they are codenamed, will be a range of entry-level lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight EVs, and all three bikes will share the same scalable modular architecture with different battery sizes and performance potentials.

The LiveWire Arrow platform will have a modular architecture and will form the basis for various EVs with varying performance and range.
The Arrow Platform is a modular design with a central battery pack that doubles as a monocoque frame. A steering head stock has been placed at the front to adapt to different head angles and wheelbase by replacing only one part. At the rear, different swingarms, as well as different motors, could be bolted to the central monocoque, allowing for many different models with varying performance and range. According to the firm’s investor documents, there will be 50 V, 100 V, 350 V and 400+ V versions, which can be either air-cooled or liquid-cooled.

Livewire has been separated from Harley-Davidson as there is a separate brand dealing in EVs for Harley-Davidson. The first Livewire electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle has now been named the Livewire One, and the next electric motorcycle will likely be the S2, which will be called the Del Mar. The S2 would be extended to a line of middleweight machines, and would be joined later by the S3, using a scaled-down version of the Arrow architecture. The models based on the Arrow platform will be the result of the announced partnership with KYMCO.
