Haryana DGP presented a check of Rs 65 lakh to the martyr’s family. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: Haryana Director Director General of Police (DGP) PK Agarwal has presented a check of Rs 65 lakh to the relatives of late constable Sandeep Narwal, who was martyred in an encounter with miscreants in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family, the DGP said that Constable Sandeep will be long remembered for his bravery and exceptional services to the police department. He also interacted with the kin of the martyr and said that all possible help would be provided to them under the welfare schemes of Haryana Police.
Under the accidental death insurance cover, Neelam, wife of martyr Sandeep, got a check of Rs 55 lakh and a check of Rs 5 lakh each. Sona DeviKrishna, mother and father of martyr soldier.
On September 30 this year, a soldier was martyred in an encounter with miscreants during a raid conducted by the Crime Branch in Haridwar.
Others present on the occasion included ADGP (Modernization & Welfare) Alok Kumar Roy, IGP (Modernisation) Amitabh Singh Dhillon, AIG Kalyan Hamid Akhtar, Head of Branch Banking, HDFC. Vineet Arora, circle head Vikas Kochari, zonal head, Sudheri, nodal officer Vipin Gupta and the family members of the martyr.
This financial assistance has been provided under the Accidental Death Insurance Cover Agreement entered into between Haryana Police and HDFC Bank.
