Have you ever experienced such a long flight where your peace of mind is disturbed by the loud shouting of children? Well, an airline has come up with a solution for passengers who get annoyed with the kids around them.
Japan Airlines has introduced a new system through which passengers will know if there is a child sitting around them.
Typically, when passengers book tickets, most companies offer an aerial view map of the aircraft, showing which seats are full and which are available.
But Japan Airlines has changed the game. The company has introduced a small icon that shows passengers which seats have been booked by passengers below 12 years of age.
This will provide a solution to those who want to sit a little away from the children.
On the website, the airline explained, “Passengers traveling with children aged eight days to two years who select their seats on the Japan Airlines website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on their seat selection screen. The other passengers will know. A child may be sitting there”.
A Twitter user thanked the airline for warning them about “where the kids plan to scream” during the 13-hour journey.
He said such facilities should be ‘mandatory’ in all carriers after Qatar Airways encountered 3 screaming children during its New York-Doha flight two weeks ago.
