Keeping up with the trend, celebrity chefs Sanjeev Kapoor Recently he has shared a popular recipe which he has prepared with leftover rice. He took to Instagram to share a recipe video of the popular Gujarati Cuisine , Muthia, For the oblivious, muthia is a sack item traditionally made with gram flour, fenugreek, salt, turmeric, etc. It is available in both steamed and fried form as per your choice. Here, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor gave a unique makeover to the dish and named it Bachcha Chawal Muthia. Let’s find out how they prepared the dish.

Recipe by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s Leftover Rice Muthia: How to make Leftover Rice Muthia:
First of all take two cups of leftover rice. Then add half a cup of gram flour, ginger-chilli paste, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, sugar and curd and mix everything together. Add a pinch of baking soda and oil and mix everything once again. Add flour and knead soft dough.
Now take small portions of the dough and roll them in a cylinder. Steam the muthia. Let them cool and then cut into small pieces.
Prepare the tempering of mustard seeds, cumin, sesame, asafoetida, curry leaves and green chilies. Add muthia to it and fry. And your delicious leftover rice muthias are ready to eat.
