Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy today said the Janata Dal (Secular) will release the first list of 90 to 100 candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections on November 1.
The JD(S) legislature party leader made several promises while addressing people at the Gavi Gangadhareshwara temple in Basavanagudi, where he sought the blessings of the deity before the symbolic launch of the ‘Pancharatna Rath Yatra’.

HD Kumaraswamy had promised that if his party comes to power, he will ensure that every gram panchayat has a 30-bed hospital, and that these hospitals will not be just structures but will have all the necessary treatment facilities.
The JD(S) leader also promised free education in government schools, jobs to youth, a women empowerment project to make them self-reliant, housing for all and attractive schemes for farmers and labourers.
HD Kumaraswamy said that if his party comes to power, he will ensure that farmers do not fall into the debt trap.
“You can ask me if you could do the same when you were the chief minister. I was actually a chief minister but I was dependent on others, which limited my scope. If I had a five-year term, I would have done it. implements these schemes,” he said.
HD Kumaraswamy had earlier headed the JDS-Congress coalition government as well as the JDS-BJP government.
He appealed to the people to give full majority to the JD(S) in the upcoming assembly elections.
“Give us a chance and bless us with absolute majority so that people can have a better future. Vote us for your future,” he said.
