Janata Dal leader HD Kumaraswamy took a jibe at the Congress and said that 15 leaders of the Congress party would join the JDS in the coming days.
Talking about leaders joining JDS, HD Kumaraswamy said, ‘Former Legislative Council member from Chitradurga, Raghu Achar had already spoken and he himself said that he will join JDS.’
“In the coming days, 15 people from the Congress party will join the JDS,” Kumaraswamy said.
He said, “Earlier the Congress took the MLAs to sink the JDS. Now they are coming from the Congress to the JDS.”
Mr. Kumaraswamy further said that the second list of JDS will be released on Monday.
Meanwhile, former MP and expelled Janata Dal (Secular) leader LR Sivaram on Wednesday joined the BJP in the presence of the party’s state chief Nalinkumar Kateel and party’s national general secretary CT Ravi in Bengaluru.
In an exclusive interview with ANI after joining BJP, Mr. Shivaram said, “In next 10 days, many more leaders will join BJP. People of Karnataka want double engine government in the state and the party will form a new government.” ” majority government in karnataka
On why he left JD(S), he said, “I have been in politics for the last 40 years. I started my career with Youth Congress. But could not lead in both JD(S) and Congress.” Retain promising young members. Senior JDS leader ATR Ramaswamy has also joined BJP recently.
He said that in some areas BJP and JDS are strong while in some all the three parties including Congress are strong.
Karnataka assembly elections will be held in a single phase on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.
