Helena Bonham Carter is coming back for ‘Enola Holmes 2’

The first film featured Millie Bobby Brown as the titular protagonist, the younger sister of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.

British star Helena Bonham Carter is officially returning for the sequel to the 2020 hit “Enola Holmes.”

Directed by Harry Bradbeer of “Fleabag” fame, “Enola Holmes” was based on author Nancy Springer’s six-part book series “The Enola Holmes Mysteries.”

The film featured “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown as the main character, the younger sister of famed detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Hollywood star Henry Cavill.

Carter will once again appear as Eudoria Holmes, parents to the famous sleuthing family alongside Brown and Cavill, Variety reported.

He is joined by newcomers David Thewlis, Susan Vukoma, Adil Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abby Hearn, Gabrielle Tierney and Serana Su-Ling Bliss.

Actor Louis Partridge, who plays Tewsbury in the film, is also returning for the sequel.

“Enola Holmes 2” will be produced by Legendary in partnership with Netflix. The shooting of the film is expected to start soon in London.

Brown and his sister Paige Brown will produce through their PCMA Productions banner.
