Here are some drink options that you must have on vacation:
1) Coconut water: According to Namami, it is rich in potassium and a great source of antioxidants. Along with this, coconut water is also known to provide strength to your body. Hence it keeps you energetic throughout the day. And it’s great for your skin and overall health, she said.
2) Lemon and mint water
This might be your favorite option when you’re holidaying and confused about the drinks to order. The nutritionist said that it is a great drink rich in Vitamin C. It provides nourishment to your body and also hydrates you.
3) Smoothies and herbal teas
Namami sternly said that instead of going for caffeinated beverages (because they strip water from your body), opt for non-caffeinated beverages. She mentioned that if you want to drink alcoholic beverages, you can have them. If you like wine, drink it as it is (don’t take it as sangria). You can add other alcohol substitutes with your choice of soda or water, or you can also add mint, ginger, cucumber, or lemon.
to keep track:
Nutritionist Namami Agarwal often shares food and health updates on Instagram. In his previous video, he explained how lentils alone cannot meet your daily protein requirement. She explained that it is true that lentils are a great source of protein. However, it is an incomplete protein. You need to mix lentils with roti or rice to take full advantage of your meal. Through the post, she also stated that the daily requirement of protein of a human being is anywhere between 45-65 grams/day. To meet that requirement, a person needs four to five bowls of pulses in one meal. And usually one does not have that much pulse in one meal. So, the nutritionist mentioned that it is important to include more protein-rich foods in your diet including soy, nuts, seeds and chickpeas.
