Hero Karizma XMR revealed ahead of official launch

Hero MotoCorp’s bread and butter comes from the entry-level motorcycle range, which includes the Splendor+, Passion Plus, HF Deluxe etc. Before long, the brand had also tasted success in the premium side of the two-wheeler business with models like CBZ and Karizma. The latter is making a comeback, and a leaked image of the motorcycle is corroborating the news of its arrival. The motorcycle was recently showcased at a dealer meet where it was showcased. In all likelihood, Hero MotoCorp would first seek the opinion of dealers to understand how the market would react to their new offering. This also means that the launch is not far away.

Hero Karizma XMR: Design

The design is fresh and looks sporty. As of now, only the side profile of the motorcycle is visible, which reveals its full-fairing design along with upswept headlamps. Also, it gets a high-set tail setup, indicating a more committed riding position than the earlier Karizmas. Plus, the clip-on-style handlebars will further aid the aggressive rider’s triangle. The alloy wheels are also new, and this design is not seen on other Hero motorcycles. Overall, it has got quite an exciting profile. The fuel tank is finished in a dual-tone paint scheme while the stubby muffler gets a silver heat shield.

Hero Karizma XMR: Specs

As can be seen in the pictures, the motorcycle gets ABS rings for both the brake rotors. It is expected to be the only motorcycle from the company to come with dual-channel ABS, which could be offered as standard fitment across the range. In addition, the XMR could be powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine with a 4-valve setup. Power output is expected to be around 30 ps. The XMR could be offered with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. It gets box-section swingarm and right-side-up telescopic front forks with monoshock at the rear.

Hero Karizma XMR: Launch date and price

No doubt, the Hero Karizma XMR will be priced to undercut competition from Yamaha R15 V4 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, at least in terms of pricing. The starting price of the motorcycle can be Rs 1.80 lakh, ex-showroom. The launch could happen in the coming months.
