Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker, has released the financial results for the fourth quarter (Q4) of the financial year 2021-22. The company’s total profit after tax (PAT) between January and March 2022 stood at ₹627 crore. Compared to profit of ₹865 crore reported for the quarter ended March 31 last year, the company saw a decline of around 28 per cent year-on-year. Hero’s net revenue from operations for Q4 FY2022 stood at ₹7,422 crore, which is a decline of nearly 15 per cent as compared to ₹8,686 crore revenue generated between January and March 2021.

Hero MotoCorp Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Niranjan Gupta said, “With the economy picking up, we expect the demand for motorcycles and scooters to witness a positive turnaround in the coming months, while concerns regarding higher cost costs remain. A challenge, we will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate measures. The forecast of normal monsoon is likely to help the crops, which is expected to improve the cash flow in the rural sector. All these factors are likely to help. There is a steady improvement in consumer sentiments and market demand.”

Hero’s profit stood at ₹ 2,473 crore for the full FY 2022, a decline of almost 17 per cent as compared to ₹ 2,943 crore profit achieved in FY 2021
For the full financial year 2021-22, Hero’s profit after tax stood at ₹ 2,473 crore, a decline of nearly 17 per cent as compared to the profit of ₹ 2,943 crore achieved in FY 2021. Between April 2021 and March 2022, the company also generated total revenue of ₹29,245 crore, a decline of 5 per cent as compared to ₹30,801 crore revenue generated during the same period in FY12.

For volume, between April and March 2022, Hero Motocorp In 2021, 11.90 lakh two-wheelers were sold, a decline of 24 per cent as compared to 15.68 lakh units sold during the same period. The company’s total volume for the full fiscal year 2022 stood at 49.44 lakh units, which is a drop. 15 percent as compared to 5.8 million two-wheelers sold between April 2020 and March 2021. In FY2022, Hero MotoCorp’s global sales (excluding India) crossed the 3,00,000 units mark for the first time, registering a growth of over 57 percent. percentage as compared to the same period in FY 2021.
