New Delhi, May 13 (PTI) Investors have continued to exclude India’s economy, Prime Minister’s policy and high -level confidence in the country’s talent, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Tuesday.
The minister was answering a question on the India-Pakistan military deadlock after the Investor Bhavna on the edge of the inauguration of a new design center by the Japanese semiconductor company Rennessus.
In response to the questioning of investors’ mood after an increased tension between India and Pakistan, Vaishnav said, “There is a very high level of faith about our country’s economy, about our Prime Minister’s policies, the excellent talent in our country, and the way our economy is growing.”

Vaishnav said, “Everyone wants to come to India at a very fast pace.”
The minister said that Rains has started a new semiconductor design center in Noida that will mark the beginning of the world’s smallest chip in the country.
“The important thing about this center is that, for the first time in our country, three nanometer chips, which are the most advanced, will be designed in end-to-end in India,” said Vaishnav.
RENESAS, India Manager and VP, Mid Engineering, Analog and Connectivity Group Malini Narayan Murthy said that it is a proud moment for the company to start designing 3-nenometer chips in its Noida facility.
“We are proud to declare that, for the first time, the 3-nenometer chips-one industry will be designed here at the New Renares Design Center in the first-NODA,” she said.
Vaishnav said that as part of the chip design effort, the government would provide a microcontroller-based hardware kit, which can be used to develop several semiconductor-based products.
“It will be given to 270 educational institutions in which we have installed EDA equipment so that students can learn, while they are learning its software part, they can also try their hands in hardware and develop new products,” Vaishnav said.
Renaissance CEO Hidetoshi Shibata, who attended the event, announced that the company has increased 10 times in India and plans to increase the total workforce in the country by 1,000 by the end of 2025.
He said that Rains has 10 percent of the company’s 10 percent of the total revenue of the company in the next few years.
“The initial target was to get 10 percent business by 2030, but (US) Tariff may take longer due to discussion,” Shibata said.
Vaishnav asked Rains to increase India’s facility 10 times.
During the inaugural program, Ranesas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and exchange of two memorandum (MUS) under the Meity Chips to Startup (C2S) program.
MUS is focusing on supporting local startups to enable them to run technological progress and promote local manufacturing in alignment with Make in India Initiative.
