A man in the United States has set a new Guinness World Record for riding 61 kilometers (38 miles) in a giant hollow pumpkin he has grown himself. BBC informed of. According to a post on the Facebook page of the City of Bellevue, Nebraska’s Duane Hansen traveled the Missouri River and broke the record on his 60th birthday on August 27.
Photos on social media showed Mr Hansen crouching inside the giant squash, which weighs 384 kg (846 lb). He had asked city officials to act as witnesses for his record-setting effort.

According to officials, Mr. Hansen embarked on the Missouri River at around 7.30 a.m. and completed his journey after 6.30 p.m. His pumpkin pot had the name SS Berta written on the back and even a cupholder carved into the hull.

The Facebook post describes the 60-year-old as “a longtime Nebraska resident who enjoys growing large pumpkins, gourds and other vegetables as a hobby.” He was inspired to conquer the previous record after watching another paddler attempt it. “Seems like a unique way to celebrate your 60th birthday, that was yesterday,” the caption read.
Since being shared, many Internet users have congratulated Mr. Hansen for his amazing feat. One user wrote, “This is hilarious and inspiring. This is awesome!” Another wrote, “Weirdly awesome, great job!”

Meanwhile, according to GuardianMr. Hansen broke the previous record for “longest trip by pumpkin boat” held by Rick Swenson, who traveled 41.038 km (25.5 mi) in 2018 at Grand Forks, North Dakota.
