Himachal Pradesh Elections: BJP Releases Manifesto; Check Out Major Announcements Here

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its election manifesto for Himachal Pradesh on 6 November. The party had constituted a committee to take suggestions from the general public for drafting the manifesto. Voting for the 68-member Himachal Pradesh assembly will be held on November 12.

Announcing the Sankalp Patra on 11 commitments, BJP President JP Nadda, “These commitments will bring about uniformity in the society, empower youth and farmers, strengthen horticulture, provide justice to government employees and promote religious tourism.” .

1. The party president said in his manifesto, the BJP government will bring a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. For this purpose a committee of experts will be formed and based on their report UCC will be implemented in the state.

2. Talking about jobs, Nadda said that the BJP government will provide more than 8 lakh employment opportunities in a phased manner. This will include government jobs and ongoing work in the economic sector.

3. BJP government will start ‘Shakti’ program under which Rs 12,000 crore will be spent over a period of 10 years to develop infrastructure and transport around religious places and temples. These will be connected to the ‘Himtirth’ circuit.

4. All villages will be connected with the investment of evergreen roads 5,000 crores.

5. An additional amount 3,000 rupees will be given annually under the PM-Kisan Nidhi scheme; And 10 lakh farmers will be added to the program

6. He further added, “We will open 5 new medical colleges here. Keeping in mind the health infrastructure and to further strengthen the primary health, the number of mobile clinics will be doubled in each assembly constituency so that far-flung areas will be located. The people of the areas can take advantage of health facilities.

7. He said that the party would conduct a survey, the waqf properties would be investigated as per law under the judicial commission and their illegal use would be stopped.

8. BJP also released a separate manifesto for women in the state. BJP President JP Nadda, while releasing the party’s manifesto for Himachal elections, promised 33 percent reservation for women in government jobs.

9. The girl students of class 6-12 will get bicycle, those who have higher education will get scooty.
