Holi Sweets: How To Make Colorful Rangeela Barfi At Home

The much-awaited festival of colors is next week and we are eagerly waiting for it. Holi is also the best time to enjoy rotten sweets like Gujia, Laddu, Puran Poli and many more. While the domain of ‘Holi colours’ is not usually the kitchen, we thought of introducing the theme to food – with a twist! In such a situation, we have brought a special recipe for this. colourful Dessert: Rangeela Barfi. This barfi will surely brighten up your plate and impress your guests. Apart from being very easy to make, it is also very tasty and easy to customize. What more could you ask for? Here’s how you can make it at home:

How to make Rangeela Barfi | Special Colorful Barfi Recipe

what you need:

The recipe uses basic ingredients like sugar, ghee, milk, milk powder, cardamom powder and food colouring. You can also add other flavorings and dry fruits as per your wish. Some versions of this burfi include flour and Lost for extra thickness, but you can get the same results without using them.

How to prepare barfi:

  • Mix melted ghee, milk and milk powder in a pan. Keep in mind that keep stirring the mixture so that there are no lumps.
  • Dissolve sugar in the mixture and mix. When the mixture starts leaving the pan, add cardamom powder to it and mix well. Switch off the flame and carefully transfer the mixture into a bowl.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 separate bowls (or as many colors as you’d like) and add food coloring to all but one bowl (this can be used as white).
  • Grease a tray, a cake pan, or a similar container with tall sides. Spread the mixture from the first bowl onto the tray with a spatula, but not too thinly. After this, spread the mixture from the second bowl on top of the first layer. Continue until all layers are made.
  • Cut the layered shape into small squares and transfer each to a serving plate. Shave almonds on top as garnish.
