Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced a new limited edition variant of the deo scooter, that is dio sports, The new model is available in two variants – Standard and Deluxe, priced at Rs 68,317 and Rs 73,317 respectively. In contrast, the regular Dio Standard is priced at Rs 67,817, while the Regular Dio Standard is priced at Rs. deo deluxe It is priced at Rs 71,317 (all prices, ex-showroom, New Delhi).
For an added premium, Honda has introduced two new dual-tone paint schemes that are exclusive to the Sports variant. The new colors are Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. Apart from this, the Dio Sports also gets sporty looking black alloy wheels along with a red colored rear cushion spring.
No other changes have been made to the scooter. It continues to be offered with telescopic suspension, external fuel lid, side stand indicator (with engine cut-off), combi-brake system (CBS) equalizer, 3-step adjustable rear suspension, LED headlamps, digital instrument cluster. With 3-step echo indicator.
The Dio is powered by a 109.51 cc fan-cooled 4-stroke engine that produces 7.7 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. The braking duties are taken care of by 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends. The scooter gets 90/90-12 section tires at the front and 90/100-10 unit tires at the rear. Honda Dio TVS is pitted against Jupiter, Hero Pleasure Plusand his own brother, Activa 6G in the Indian market.
