Cake plays an important role in the celebration of marriage. A white wedding in particular just doesn’t seem complete without a wedding cake. Now imagine, if the cake is destroyed before it is cut. Quite a nightmare, isn’t it? This was recently experienced by a bride and groom. A video has surfaced on the internet which shows hotel staff accidentally dropping a multi-tiered wedding cake while bringing it to the venue. What caught our attention was the shocking reaction of the newly wed couple! But to everyone’s entertainment, it turned out to be a prank by the staff. What they dropped were just boxes decorated like cakes. And the original cake was brought to the bride and groom the very next moment. The video was uploaded on Instagram page she_saidyes. It was an Instagram reel that showed the couple later cutting beautiful cakes and enjoying with friends and family. “Oh noo!! Thank god it was a prank!! Almost put us in tears,” the post read. The video was quite entertaining and went viral in no time, garnering 2.5 million views, 144k likes and hundreds of comments.
“She’s such a good soul, that laughter and that feeling that the wedding was amazing and absolutely perfect,” read one comment. “Woman trying to take a deep breath and smiling, I love her reaction,” read another comment.
A third person wrote, “As much as that cake may cost, if it wasn’t a joke, I would be eating it off the floor.” Another person wrote, “I love how he looked at her, how worried he was about her and how she felt!!”
