A thatched house near Ammapet collapsed following monsoon rains in the early hours of Thursday. There have been no casualties in the incident.
According to the police, the walls of a house in Ammapet developed cracks following incessant rains in the district.
Residents, Kannan and seven other members of his family came out of the house and the building collapsed minutes later. Revenue officials reached the spot and inquired. Police said that no one was hurt in the incident.

The storage was 93,630 tmcft and the dam received an inflow of 26,000 cusecs. 25 thousand cusecs of water is being released. 500 cusecs of water was released from the East-West canal.
