Houthi: India will provide aid to families of two Indians killed in UAE: Envoy – Times of India

Dubai: India has said that it will provide “all possible assistance” to the families of two Indian nationals killed in a suspicious incident. Houthi Drone attack near Abu Dhabi The airport that caused several explosions in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Two Indians and a Pakistani civilian were killed and six others were injured in Monday’s attack claimed by Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The explosions were caused by “small flying objects”, possibly drones, that hit three petroleum tankers in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking to The National newspaper on Monday, the Ambassador of India United Arab Emirates, Sanjay Sudhiri, said the Indian government would provide “whatever assistance is possible” to the families of the two deceased Indian nationals.
The Indian Embassy is yet to announce the names of the two Indians killed in the attack.
Meanwhile, a day after the drone strike, messages of condemnation and solidarity are pouring in from various quarters.
Crown Saudi Arabia’s Prince Mohammed bin Salman called Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Saudi Crown Prince expressed his deepest condolences to the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry also condemned the attack “in the strongest terms”.
The UAE reserves the right to respond to these terrorist attacks and criminal escalation,” said a statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said the drone attacks on the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) fuel facilities and airport would not be spared.
The UAE has been part of a Saudi-led military campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen since 2015.
Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also received a call from Jordan’s King Abdullah, during which he condemned the Houthi attack on facilities and civilian areas in the UAE.
The King reaffirmed Jordan’s support for facing threats to the security of the United Arab Emirates and expressed his condolences.
The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, also called on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to reaffirm America’s condemnation and condemnation of the terroristic Houthi militia’s terrorist attack on civilian areas and facilities in the United Arab Emirates.
