NND Dubey took his men from the front and entered the hideout of Ghazi Baba in Nurbagh, Srinagar. BSF soldiers reached the second floor when a volley of fire and grenade came from terrorists. Balbir Singh, a young soldier of Mr. Dubey’s team, jumped in front of his commanding officer and rescued him when a terrorist set fire to him. Constable Singh was killed in action. Speaking to NDTV, Dig ND Dubey recalled the brave soldier, posthumously honored for his work of valor in the line of duty with Shaurya Chakra.
