First of all wash the spinach leaves thoroughly so that the dirt gets removed. Once done, roughly chop them and pour water in a broad pan or kadhai. Let the water boil.

After this, add the washed spinach to the boiled water.

With the help of a spatula, immerse the leaves completely in the water.

Cook for two minutes. You will notice that the leaves will change their color slightly.

Remove the leaves from the pan and strain.

The last step is to immediately soak the leaves in a bowl of ice cold water for a minute or two. Drain off all the extra water.
