Tamil Nadu’s Director General of Police (DGP) on Saturday took note of the incident of human excreta being dumped in a water tank supplying drinking water in a Dalit colony in Vengayil village and the CB-CID (Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department) ordered an inquiry. In the event.

The Special Investigation Team is already probing the matter.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had earlier on Wednesday said that the incident showed that caste discrimination and untouchability existed in some sections of the society.
