Hyderabad Football Club won hearts

Hyderabad FC, the defending ISL champions, who started the current season unbeaten, on Tuesday distributed notebooks, moral story books, stationery and sports material to government school students in Gandhipet.

The gifts were arranged by Delhi Public School (DPS) and Pallavi Group of Schools (PGOS) to celebrate the Children’s Day celebrations.

Yasaswi Malka, Chief Operating Officer, DPS and PGOS, and Manolo Marquez, Head Coach, HFC, attended the event amidst much enthusiasm from the students and staff of the school.

Books and sports material were distributed as part of the ‘Each One Teach One’ initiative which started on 1st October on the birthday of Malka Komaraiah, Chairperson, DPS and PGOS.

HFC head coach Manolo Marquez, striker Rohit Danu, midfielder Borja Herrera, technical director Thangboi Singto, sporting director Appu Jose and head of tech ops Antony Thomas interacted with the students and also presented them with HFC jerseys.

Shri Yasasvi thanked the government school staff for providing the platform for the ‘Har One Teach One’ initiative.

For their part, the staff appreciated the efforts of DPS, PGOS and HFC for providing notebooks to the students, among other things.

A delighted student said, “It is an unforgettable moment for us to see the football players as we cannot afford to visit the stadium and watch them play.”

“It was really a great help received from DPS and PGOS. It will reduce some of the financial burden on our parents,” said another student.
