Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]May 31 (ANI): Hyderabad Police has rescued several exotic animals and arrested seven people including the owner of a pub which was exhibiting these animals.

On 30 May, officials of the Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone Team, Hyderabad) along with Forest Department officials organized a pet event as “Hyderabad Exotic Pets” for organizing and exhibiting wild animals at Zora Pub, Saidabad, Hyderabad. Its purpose was to catch the eyes of customers and generate publicity for the club. His staff and event organizers are Prithvi (Operations Manager), Varhala Naidu (Manager of Pub), Tarun (Owner of Happywag Pets, Hyderabad), Vamshi (Pet seller), Karthik (Sells pet animals) and Yasser (Hyderabad Exotic Owners of (pets) organize and exhibit wild animals for customers in pubs. They displayed Bengal cats, ball pythons and iguanas in the pub without any valid permission”, the police said.

Adding further, it said, “On information, West Zone Task Force, Hyderabad along with Forest Department officials raided a store known as “Hyderabad Exotic Pets, Saidabad, Hyderabad” and rescued the animals”.

The statement also said that the accused and the rescued animals have been handed over to the Forest Department police for further action. (ANI)
