Hyundai Creta – 3-Star Global NCAP Safety Rating
Global NCAP has tested Hyundai Creta and it have received a 3-star rating (8.00/17.00) for the safety of adults and a 3-star rating (28.29/49.00) for the safety of children. Earlier, Global NCAP had tested the Kia Seltos which is based on Creta’s platform and it also achieved the same rating.
On the crash test performance of the Hyundai Creta, Global NCAP said, “The driver’s head protection was adequate and the passenger’s head was good. The driver’s and passenger’s neck showed good protection. The driver’s chest showed modest protection and the passenger’s chest was well protected.” showed good protection. The driver’s and passenger’s knees showed little protection as they could be impacted by dangerous structures behind the dashboard supported by the transfasia tube. The driver’s tibia and passenger’s right tibia showed adequate protection, while the passenger’s left tibia showed good protection. The bodyshell was rated as unstable and was not able to withstand the forward load. The footwell area was rated as unstable. The car offers standard SBR for the driver and passenger. All of the above Interprets three stars to protect adult occupants.”
Hyundai i20 – 3-Star Global NCAP Safety Rating
The Hyundai i20 has scored a 3-star rating (8.84/17.00) for adult safety and a 3-star rating (36.89/49.00) for child safety, slightly higher than the Creta SUV. Safety features of the Hyundai i20 include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and more.
Toyota Urban Cruiser – 4-Star Global NCAP Safety Rating
Global NCAP has tested Toyota The Urban Cruiser and the subcompact SUV got a 4-star rating for adult occupant safety (13.52/17.00) and a 3-star rating for child occupant safety (36.68/49.00). Standard safety features include dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, front seat-belt pretensioners and four-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
