Hyundai India February 2022 sales down 13.98% due to chip shortage – Times of India

Hyundai Motor India On Tuesday, there was a decline of 13.98 percent in total sales of 53,159 units in February 2022. The company had sold 61,800 units in the same month last year. Hyundai Motor India Limited said in a statement.
Domestic sales last month declined by 14.63 per cent to 44,050 units as against 521,600 units in February 2021.
In terms of exports, Hyundai India managed to export 9,109 units of vehicles in February this year as compared to exports of 10,202 units in February 2021, registering a decline of 10.69 per cent.

“As the industry grapples with the semiconductor shortage situation, the company continues to explore options with its partners to enable customers to take delivery of their most preferred Hyundai cars at the earliest,” the company said in a statement.
