Priyanka Gandhi said that it would be wrong to assume that she is the chief ministerial candidate
New Delhi:
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today said she can “contest Uttar Pradesh elections” but it would be wrong to assume that she is the Congress chief ministerial candidate.
On his cryptic remarks at a press conference earlier today, he told NDTV that it was in the form of a verbal remark.
This morning, he was asked about the speculations about the Congress chief ministerial candidate for the UP elections. “You can see my face everywhere, right?” Ms Gandhi Vadra responded, fueling speculation that she – who has so far shunned electoral politics – is now ready.
When Ms. Gandhi Vadra, who was leading the Congress’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh and became the party’s face in all communications, was pressed, she repeated: “You can see my face, can’t you?”
“I have clearly stated that I made a verbal remark,” she said in the interview.
