“In some tournaments, I played really well and in some tournaments, I couldn’t. I have worked really hard to reach the finals of the World Championships and I am really happy to be here today.”
“I will try to keep working hard…it is a process. Next year there are many big tournaments like Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World Championships. So this next year is a very big year. I will try to stay positive ,” said Srikkanth.
“It’s been a good week. Even today I had chances in both the matches. In the first I had a healthy lead and in the second also, I had a cushion of 18-16. I couldn’t finish well. Loh said Played really well,” he said.
“There are a lot of things to learn from this … of course I will work on it and try and get better for future tournaments.”
Srikanth was having a tough time getting his visa for the Huelva tournament and said that he was not sure whether he would be able to take part in the tournament.
“I didn’t know whether I would be able to come here or not and I only found out on Thursday evening before the tournament. I think I got my visa around 6, so I was not sure whether I would be able to come here or not,” said Srikkanth.

It was an incredible feeling for Loh to be world champion. “I can’t believe it. I mean, at the beginning of the year I didn’t think it would happen. Now I can tell you that I am finally happy,” said the world number 22.
