West Indies all-rounder Hayley Mathews has moved up four places to 11th in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings after a stellar performance in the first two matches of her four-match series against South Africa. Mathews, who took two wickets each in both matches, is the highest-ranked West Indies bowler, while the other off-spinners Anisa Mohammed is at 25th and Shakira Selman at 26th. Fast bowler Shamilia Connell has moved up nine places to 29th after taking three wickets in two matches. South Africa captain Sune Luce has moved up seven places to be joint-34th among bowlers and has moved up two places to 44th in the batting list, followed by Alyssa Healy in second place while Lizelle Lee is down two places to third. ICC’s Women’s ODI Player of the Year in 2021, Lee has been ruled out of the series due to COVID-19.

The top of the all-rounders’ list also sees changes, with the Marizan Cup slipping to third place after missing the match against the West Indies. Nat Sciver and Ellyse Perry are in first and second place.

West Indies’ Chadian Nation (up five places to 51st) and South African opener Tazmin Britts (up 25 places to 64th) are set to move ahead in the latest update on the list of other batsmen who drop Sri Lankan players from the rankings. Table as he hasn’t played ODIs since October 2019 and will return once he plays ODIs.
