Shares of ICICI Bank closed 1.06 per cent higher at Rs 793.35 on the BSE.
Private sector lender ICICI Bank announced that it now offers the facility of online payment of customs duty to benefit both retail and corporate customers. Corporate customers can pay customs duty through the bank’s Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) and mobile banking app InstaBIZ, while retail customers can do so through the bank’s retail internet banking platform.
Customer can make online payment by selecting ICICI Bank from the list of banks on the Indian Customs Electronic Gateway (ICEGATE) website.
Hitesh Sethia, Head, ICICI Bank, said, “This facility enables lakhs of ICICI Bank customers to pay customs duty digitally through the ICEGATE website. It will continuously enhance convenience by offering innovative products and services to our customers. in line with our efforts.” (Transaction Banking).
The bank said that ICICI Bank has been successfully facilitating payment of direct and indirect taxes for more than a decade.
