Launching an online campaign, CMA (Certified Management Accountant) candidates registered their protest against mismanagement during the ongoing examinations for Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses. The CMA exam is conducted twice every year – in June and December, by the Institute of Cost Accountants. India (ICMAI).
Sharing their concerns on #cmaexams on Twitter, candidates demanded ICMAI to improve the syllabus and conduct the exam in offline mode. The students pointed out that if other exams including UPSC can be conducted offline, then why CMA exam should be conducted online. “Why not offline if UPSC can conduct then why not us. Why online,” wrote a Twitter user sharing his concern.
Why not offline if UPSC can do it then why can’t we. why online #cmaexams #CMA Exam @indCMAs @cmaclubind

The students complained of poor facilities at the examination centers and said that many of them did not even have proper internet connection. “It’s a professional exam? Management is zero, phones are allowed (in some centres), today 40% of students haven’t taken the exam due to internet and other failures. I think the institute is going through trial and error with our exam system. And every time a new problem comes up,” wrote one user.
Is this a professional exam?

“The exam in Ranchi was canceled due to poor internet connection. Few students get a chance to connect their system with wifi, rest were just sitting and at last they canceled the exam. When will it be rescheduled? Why didn’t you take care of these things earlier?” Another user wrote.
