Prayagraj: Director of the prestigious Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A), Professor P Nagabhushan has resigned from his post. An eminent computer scientist, Prof. Nagabhushan Will soon join as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Science Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (Deemed to be University) located near Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.
Professor Nagabhushan said, “I have sent my resignation to the Union Ministry of Education and requested to be relieved of my responsibilities in IIIT-A by February 18.” After a prosperous and fulfilling stint at IIIT-A, I now look forward to serving as the new VC of the Science Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (Deemed to be University), he added. Professor Nagabhushan’s resignation comes as he has more than four months left in his tenure as IIIT-A director. TNN
