NS Indian Institute Technology (IIT) Delhi is all set to start its placement season for the current academic session from 1st December. Recently, there has been a boom in recruitment for tech-related jobs. Several IITs have seen an increase in the number of companies registering to participate in the placement drives of IITs along with pre-placement offers. in line with the trend, IIT Delhi recently ranked as the most employable institute in India – All set to start your placement season.
The Office of Career Services (OCS), IIT Delhi is a facilitation arm of the Institute mandated to serve the mutual interests of the student body and recruiting organisations. Like every year, the interviews for placements at IIT Delhi will begin from December 1. Period of selection of companies
Interviews for full-time recruits take approximately six months (between December and the end of May), with several national and multi-national organizations coming to campus to recruit from the institute.
IITs claim that this year, the industry response to invitations for students to participate in campus placements has been encouraging across sectors. “Several organizations have registered with the Placement Office with the intention of hiring graduates of IIT Delhi. In addition to the traditional profiles, registrations are increasing for new age technology-based hiring profiles related to data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, IIT Delhi said in an official statement.
This year the placement season will start in virtual mode in December 2021 like last year. Students are gearing up for placement interviews in digital mode with new and innovative patterns of interaction to maximize the use of technology.
Unlike other campuses, the entire interview process will be conducted in a single slot each day.
Speaking about the upcoming placement season, Dr. Anish Oberai Madan, Head, OCS, IIT Delhi said, “The company slotting paradigm at IIT Delhi is very different from all other campuses and is based on a single slot each day. This means that the spread of companies will be higher each day. This year many organizations have increased their compensation. For the first time, some organizations have indicated that their pay India Pay for international profiles may be higher than what is paid by recruiting organizations. We look forward to a healthy and strong placement season for both the recruiting organizations and the students.”
IIT Delhi would like to welcome all our recruiters to the campus in virtual mode to facilitate the hiring of top talent from IIT Delhi for their organizations from December.
