IMD Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted light to moderate rain over parts of northern and southern India during the next five days.
In its latest update, the department said that light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur over Tamil Nadu-Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala- Mahe, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 5 days and over South Andhra Pradesh during the next 2 days. .
Rain has also been predicted at isolated places over Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad during the next 5 days and Himachal Pradesh on December 16 and 17.
The department said that there is a possibility of dry weather in the remaining parts of the country during the next 5 days.
According to the department, the minimum temperature will remain in the range of 6-10 degrees Celsius over many parts of the plains of Northwest India during the next 5 days.
The minimum temperature is between 6-10 Celsius over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh and parts of East Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh.
No significant change in minimum temperature is predicted over most parts of the country during the next 3-4 days.
During the next 48 hours, dense fog is very likely to occur at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the morning hours.
