On Wednesday, when PTI chief Khan said he was likely to be arrested again, the Punjab Police blocked all access to his Zaman Park mansion in Lahore. Earlier in the day, the interim government of Punjab gave PTI a 24-hour ultimatum to hand over the ‘terrorists’ who attacked army installations following the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference, Punjab’s Acting Information Minister Aamir Mir said, “There are 30 to 40 terrorists who attacked Army establishments including Jinnah House in Zaman Park.”
The Punjab minister said the agencies were able to confirm the presence of “terrorists” in Zaman Park through geo-fencing. “The intelligence report that has come is very dangerous. Hand over the terrorists within 24 hours or the law will take its own course,” Mir said, according to ARY News.
Mir said, “PTI is starting to behave like a non-state actor.” He said the PTI chief has been targeting the Army for more than a year and urged the party to hand over the “terrorists”.
Meanwhile, Khan claimed that the police have surrounded his house and he could be arrested anytime, so this could be his last tweet.
Addressing the nation in a live video message, Imran Khan tweeted, “Perhaps my last tweet before my next arrest. Police have surrounded my house.”
