Actress Juhi Chawla, who co-starred with Shah Rukh Khan in several films, today played a key role in helping her son Aryan Khan get released from jail.
She was the surety for Aryan Khan, who was asked to pay a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh. This was important for the court to send the release paperwork to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, where Aryan Khan 22 days have passed.
Juhi Chawla was one of the early co-stars of Shah Rukh Khan and the pair gave many blockbuster films.
Later both became co-owners of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Aryan Khan spent almost a month in jail after his arrest following a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raid on a cruise ship party on 2 October. He was “accused number 1” in the drugs-on-cruise case, in which a total of 20 arrests.
The case gripped the nation and left social media divided as many questioned whether Aryan Khan’s arrest was justified with the seizure or consumption of drugs. The anti-drug agency claimed in courts that its WhatsApp chats proved its involvement in “illegal drug deals” and links with a foreign drugs cartel.
Aryan Khan’s legal team, which included former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi, argued that the entire case against him was built on WhatsApp chats that were outdated and irrelevant to the drugs-on-cruise case.
