Under Operation Devi Shakti, the Indian government evacuated 94 Afghans and 10 Indians from Afghanistan on 10 December. The special flight chartered by the government reached Delhi’s international airport on Friday.
The 104 people evacuated include members of minority communities in Afghanistan. They took with them two copies of the Sikh holy book Guru Granth Sahib and some ancient Hindu manuscripts.
In a return flight that left Delhi for Kabul on Saturday, the Indian government sent humanitarian aid, including medical supplies, to the people of Afghanistan in light of the challenging situation in the country.

The drugs will be handed over to representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Kabul and administered at the city’s Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital.
A total of 669 people have been rescued so far under Operation Devi Shakti. India expelled from Afghanistan Since the takeover of the Taliban. It includes 448 Indians and 206 Afghans and includes members of the Afghan Hindu and Sikh minority communities. More than 500 people including 438 Indians were evacuated from Afghanistan in the month of August The Taliban took over the country.
