Indian Coast Guard has released a recruitment notification through which it invites male candidates to work for various Navik & Mechanical posts. The recruitment is being done to fill a total of 300 posts in the organization. Those who wish to apply for the vacancies can do so through the official site joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. The process of registration started from September 8 and will continue till September 22.
The selection process will be based on Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT). Based on the performance in the Computer Based Online Examination, a merit list will be prepared and provisional e-admit card for Phase-II will be issued as per the vacancies available and the ratio as decided by ICG. If the candidate is shortlisted for Phase-II, he will be required to upload documents for the verification process, reads the official notice.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Navik (General Duty): Applicants should have completed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics stream from a Board of Education recognized by the Council of the Board for the School education (COBSE).
Navik (Domestic Branch): Candidates must have passed class 10 from a board recognized by COBSE.
Mechanical: To be eligible for this post, candidates must have passed 10th class. They must have a Diploma of three or four years duration in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics, Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering, approved by all. India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Age Range: Applicants age should be between 18 to 22 years. SC, ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation in maximum age while OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates are given 3 years relaxation.

Self-nominated candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.250. Only candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from payment of fee.
Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022: Salary
Candidates selected for Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch) posts will get basic pay of Rs 21,700 per month along with one dearness allowance and some more allowances depending on the nature of their duty/place of their posting. The basic pay for mechanical posts is Rs 29,200. Along with this, they will also be given dearness allowance of Rs 6,200.
