In collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Play and Community Empowerment and Baseline Ventures of Maldives, Volleyball Association of Maldives will host the Maldives Volleyball Season 2022 in Male’ (Maldives) from 1st June to 8th July. Volleyball is currently the second most popular sport in Maldives and this season’s format is expected to increase its popularity further.
In the presence of Hon’ble Faisal Naseem, Vice President of Maldives, the Official Drafting Night was held at PSM Studio in Male on 1st June. The event was attended by the Hon’ble Sports Minister of Maldives Mr. Ahmed Mahloof and the Honorable High Commissioner of India. India For Maldives, Mr. Munu Mahavar.
Six of the best clubs from Maldives will be part of the league with a scintillating performance for the season. They will sign three international players from India each. Baseline Ventures is proud to facilitate international player participation for the Maldives volleyball season.
After mesmerizing fans with their performance in the A23-run RuPay Prime Volleyball League, 18 top players from India are in the island nation to showcase their skills.
“We are taking several initiatives to professionalize volleyball in India, including ensuring that the best Indian players get a chance to play in international competitions and leagues across the world. A total of 18 players participating in an international league is the first time in the history of Indian volleyball,” said Tuhin Mishra, MD, Baseline Ventures.

Captain Mohamed Raneesh, President of the Volleyball Association of Maldives said that we look forward to using his experience after a successful RuPay Prime Volley League in India.
