A Mangalore-Mumbai flight was delayed by six hours after a woman passenger sounded an alarm over a suspicious text message on the phone of a fellow passenger here. According to police, before the IndiGo flight left for Mumbai on Sunday evening, all passengers were asked to disembark, and their luggage was carefully checked for any signs of sabotage.

A message was received on the phone of a person on the plane, which was noticed by a female passenger and reported to the flight attendant. The flight, which was about to take off, returned to the bay when the crew notified the air traffic controller.
The man was talking to his girlfriend while waiting for the flight from the same airport to Bangalore. The man was prevented from boarding the plane due to lengthy interrogation, his girlfriend missed a trip to the capital of Karnataka.

After careful baggage checks, all 185 passengers were subsequently re-boarded on the flight to Mumbai, and the plane departed at 5 pm. According to local police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, no complaint has been made recently as it was just an informal conversation between two friends about security.
An IndiGo flight from Jorhat in Assam to Kolkata skidded off the runway during the first flight and its wheels got stuck in the muddy ground, the airline said.

The incident happened on Thursday when the plane was carrying 98 passengers and the flight was cancelled. “Jorhat to Kolkata IndiGo flight 6E-757 returned to the bay during departure.
