Industrialist Rahul Bajaj cremated with state honors in Pune – Times of India

Pune: Funeral of former chairman of Bajaj Group, Rahul BajajThe veteran industrialist was given a final farewell with state honors along with representatives of Indian industry, politicians and common people in Pune on Sunday.
The last rites were performed by Rahul Bajaj’s sons Rajiv and Sanjeev at the electric crematorium at Vaikunth cremation ground in Pune city.
Bajaj Group Honorary Chairman, Bajaj breathed his last due to illness at a private hospital here on Saturday. He was 83 years old.
Earlier, Bajaj’s body was kept at his residence in Akurdi near Pune for the last glimpse.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray among others paid tribute to the industrialist.
Bajaj was the man behind the iconic ‘Bajaj’ brand, which developed with the aspirations of the middle class in liberal India.
